Greetings Young Writers,
We are looking forward to Friday when all 100 or so young writers from throughout the Willamette Valley meet at Willamette University!
Remember to bring your journal and a pen or pencil that day as you will. have more opportunities to explore, write and think. Your lunch is provided, so you will not need to bring a sack lunch.
A famous poet, Janet Wong, will be there to show you more tricks and thoughts about writing poetry. She will have books to sell that are around $15.00.
You will also get to join in with some excellent cartoonists, who will share with you tips for cartooning and writing. Should be great fun!
In addition, you will be taking a Walk-About around the campus to explore and write about thoughts you may have.
The curator of the Hallie Ford Museum is waiting to guide you through the art museum and give you some time to think and write in the museum.
Your day at Willamette will end with you having a book in your hands with a piece of writing in it, along with a piece from all the young writers! Your beginning to more published pieces perhaps'
P/ease be at Clear Lake School by 8:20 on Friday to catch the bus bound for Willamette. You will be back by 2:30.
