Dear Franklin Roosevelt,
How does it feel being president? did you know in third grade that I studied on you? I think that your stories are interesting. In the book that I’m reading about you they also made funny pictures of you, it looks like your head is bigger than your body. I like reading stories about you.
Sincerely,
Angela
Little Creature by Michelle Cook
Here I am a little flying creature
Sitting on something the walking
Creatures call monkey bars and
As far as I know they look nothing
Like monkeys and as I look up there are
My friends got to fly.
Nature by Kaytlyn Stinson
Scratch and
Ticklish grass
Under my feet
Tne flowers I smell
Are so sweet
Blackberries not quite
ready to eat
Soon they will
Be really sweet
Gnomes by Ben Serafin
Out of the window, beside the tree, lives three gnomes.
Their home’s tidy and their garden’s very neat.
They eat big feasts, but they still look small.
When you try to say “Hi” they say they gotta fly,
Wink their eye and say “Bye, bye.......”
And that’s the end of that!
The Future by Israel Martinez
I play baseball now and in the future. I would like to be the coach of a baseball team and teach other kids to play baseball. And if that happens, lots of kids that don’t know how to play baseball could learn. And they could join a baseball team.
My Trip to Canada by Samantha Divan
Two years ago in the middle of the summer my dad, sister, and I were asked to go to Canada with my soon to be step mom and step sisters. We were going for a week. We had a cat named Chip. She was really old and she had a scab in front of her right ear. Chip was put to sleep right before we left. We all packed up and left. We made so many pit stops for the bathroom breaks, I thought we wouldn’t make it to Canada. Then we made it to Washington. We stayed at a cool hotel. We stayed one night. the hotel had a mini golf course out front.
The next day, we packed up our stuff and headed to Canada. We had to ride a ferry across a big lake. We finally made it to Victoria. While we were there, I got a little stuffed hedgehog and a T-shirt in Canada. They have taxes in Canada. That means you pay certain amount more for something. they also have pretty flowers. We went to Bush Gardens. It was so cool. There were fountains shooting up out of a lake. It also had a huge flower path, wishing well, and an ice cream shop. Then we went to the big Empress Hotel. It was fancy. My dad said when we got there, “Don’t touch or break anything.” We didn’t. We went home.
My Uncle Maxwellby Sarah Murphy
Back in about 1890, my Great Great Great Great Great Uncle Maxwell was living in England temporarily for the King of England wanted some vital information. But he would not tell him.
So the King tried as hard as he might but still my Uncle Maxwell would not tell him. The King finally decided to kill my Uncle Maxwell if he did not tell him. My Uncle Maxwell was very smart and a bit stubborn.
Off went my Uncle to an island where they execute people.
My uncle’s family could only have two people at a time visit him in his room on the island.
In went a fattish lady and a skinny lady. When they were supposed to be giving their farewells, they were really putting a disguise on him. They put a dress, women’s shoes, and makeup on him. Then they put a scarf over his face and sent him out with the skinny lady pretending to be taking the fat lady out, but she was really taking out my Uncle Maxwell. Then the really fat lady came out five minutes later, and my Uncle Maxwell was saved.
My Uncle Maxwell then moved to Scotland and bought a castle. He named it Maxwell Castle. It used to be a grand castle, but now it’s practically destroyed. Scotland owns it now, but I know we should own it.
My Many Colored Days by Kiaya
On my purple days
I’m a swan
I sit on a lawn
And watch for fawn.
On my light blue days
I’m like a kitten,
Not ever sittin’.
On my red days
I’m like a puppy
Swimming
While looking for guppies.
On my black days.
I’m like a tiger
Roaring and clawing until
I can do it no longer.
My Crazy Critter by Allyson Chaffey
My critter’s name is Moondust. Moondust has blue and red swirled
glasses, a blue body with yellow spots, red ledgs that were cut off, and
a white swirly tail.
Moondust’s problem ws that he couldn’t see well because he was
cross-eyed. When he goes walking on the street he thinks the street is on
the left, but it’s really on the right. So, when he goes into the
street when he tries to go to the left, but instead he goes to the right.
Confused yet? The way he fixed this was by getting glasses that looked cool.
